How Do I Use CB Hop-linker?

We all know how often vendors change at Clickbank, and how difficult it can be to manage CB links. Don't we? Anyway, with the blacklisted option (...in the script) you can disable all broken vendor links by adding them to an array of blacklisted vendors. That will force the script to use the default vendor, keeping the link alive and useful until you hunt down those nasty broken links.

 NOTE: This cloaker works in the same manner as forming a normal Clickbank hop link but points to your own domain, and is easier to maintain.

Method #1 - Cloaking

The first method is cloaking a link and looks like this:

http://www.yourwsite.com/process.php?id=vendor 

 

Notice the way that link is formed and how I'm telling the script to process the vendor's nick, by using the id=vendor syntax. The vendor part of that syntax would be replaced with an actual vendor's nick to form a valid hop-link.

Let's take a look at an example. If the vendor ID is cbvendorid, then you would format the link in this way:

http://www.yourwsite.com/process.php?id=cbvendorid

 

That hop link would give you complete credit for any sales made.

When a visitor clicks that link CB Hop-linker takes the cbvendorid (knowing it's a vendor, because of the id=) and creates a valid Clickbank hop link that looks like the one below:  

http://yourcbid.cbvendorid.hop.clickbank.net

 

Test with an actual vendor:

http://www.cbboss.com/process.php?id=ulovemoney

That's a real working example and demonstrates just how easy this script is to use.

Cloaking with Tracking

Additionally, you can add a tracking ID (TID) to your vendor name by doing this:

http://www.yourwsite.com/process.php?id=cbvendorid_trackid

The underscore is needed to denote the tracking ID, but is not used in the actual ID that's sent to Clickbank. The tracking ID can be up to 8 alphanumerical characters to form a valid CB tracking ID.

Test with an actual tracking ID:

http://www.cbboss.com/process.php?id=ulovemoney_cbboss

This test will only prove that the hoplink is working, even with the added characters to the vendor ID. If you follow the link to the payment form, then you will see my CB ID and the cbboss TID in the affiliate section of that form.

Method #2 - Referral

I got to thinking about what else this script could do and a likely addition was the referral link. So, I have added a cloaked referral link option to CB Hop-linker.

The syntax is very easy and an example is offered below:

http://www.yourwsite.com/process.php?rs

 

Once again, notice the way the link is formed and how simple and clean it is. That will create a valid referral link to Clickbank.

The internal link that's created looks like this:

http://yourcbid.reseller.hop.clickbank.net

 

Of course, your ID would be replaced with yourcbid, forming a valid reseller link.

Test this option with a real-world example below:

http://www.cbboss.com/process.php?rs

 

Method #3 - Default Vendor

By default, the script will create a valid CB hop-link using the default vendor you've set up in the script. This method is used when the script is called directly or some problem is discovered while executing.

http://www.yourwsite.com/process.php

 

Note: This method uses the default vendor you've set up.
